Samaj Seva Inc. started from a primary school in the village Khusro Pur, District Jalandhar. In October 2004, I, Gurvinder S Rai, was approached by few primary school teachers of our village to help repair bathrooms in the school.

Mission: As acorporation, we want to improve the lives of others by all means and using all available resources. Specifically, this will be achieved by helping underprivileged children in education funding, poor families in funding to assist their daughters in marriage, promote and encourage sports activities in youth, senior citizens and underprivileged children in health improvement through increased awareness and small surgeries.
Vision:
Our concept entails working with underprivileged children and senior citizens one village at a time. All children within a village should have an education, and all residents should get needed medical attention.
What we do and How we do it?
Samaj Seva Inc. help in the following ways:
Objectives:
- Assist underprivileged school children by helping with books and tuition fees
- Add books to rural school libraries
- Help to build small libraries in rural schools without libraries
- Pay for a few needed cataract eye surgeries every year
- Pay for girls' wedding expenses of poor families
